Reiterkaserne is located in Leonhardstraße, just two stops after the main building of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Palais Meran. Easily accessible by public transport, two tram lines (line #1 “LKH MED UNI” and line #7 “Mariatrost”) pass the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), the city’s main square (Hauptplatz) and the inner city’s main transfer point (Jakominiplatz), and lead straight to the stop called “Reiterkaserne”.

There are ticket machines on the tram, where you can easily purchase a ticket either in cash (no bills, change only!) or by credit/debit card.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Due to street constructions, the tram lines #1 and #7 are partly out of order. However, this does not affect the connections between the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), the city’s main square (Hauptplatz) and the inner city’s main transfer point (Jakominiplatz). When arriving at Jakominiplatz, you can take the bus lines #E1 and #E7 (which basically correspond to the actual tram lines) from there to get to Palais Meran (name of the stop: Graz Lichtenfelsgasse/Kunstuniversität). The very same bus lines also take you to the closest stop to Reiterkaserne (name of the stop: Reiterkaserne). In the maps below you can see a visual description of the lines from Jakominiplatz to the two stops relevant for the symposium.
